The Vancouver market stabilizing in 2011 in a good sign for buyers - and sellers
As we've all seen, the past two years have definitely produced their share of opportunities and challenges for the housing market in Vancouver.
Thinking back two years ago, much of Canada was reeling from the economic downturn that looked like it would last for years and bring untold hardships along the way. Here we are now, about to turn the corner into 2011, with the country well recovered. The worst of the corrections are behind us with homebuying being supported by more normal influences - low interest rates, rising population and an improving labour market. Although 2011 may not bring huge pricing and sales gains seen in the past years, a little stability is a great thing - for buyers, sellers and builders.
